Seafood

We love living on the Gulf Coast! We can't imagine not having our four seasons: Crawfish, Shrimp, Crab and Oyster. That doesn't even take into account the speckled trout, black drum, and flounder.

Last summer, we spent a week in a rental on Mobile Bay, fishing and crabbing for dinner every day. We caught more crabs than we could eat (and released the extras, especially the little ones and moms), speckled trout, white trout, catfish and mullet. Everyone voted the smoked mullet the best tasting by far, so if our recipe for Grilled Fish-of-the-Day can turn mullet into a memorable meal, it will work great for any fish you can come up with! We love to serve fish caught that day in our Gulf Coast waters, and relish the opportunity to share new varieties with friends.

OK, actually we really love salmon, too, and our grilled salmon always draws a crowd. In fact, it's our signature "Day Before Thanksgiving" dinner. Everyone shows up on time.
